Modern Israel! – Storms brewing in foreign policy, Ahmadinedjad denying the Holocaust, and the Israeli reality – thousands of victims of the Holocaust living in Israel and still suffering. Certainly they were always around us, we even know some of them personally, but when we found out that they have organized associations – groups of people who suffered similar trials who had banded together, we decided to seek them out and serve them. One such group from Leningrad, “The Union of the Last Blockade”, are survivors of Nazi ghettos and concentration camps. These holocaust survivors are not young; the most were born between 1933 and 1938. They were children when the horror of the Holocaust fell upon them, bringing them into a face to face confrontation with death. Today they are again close to death as they are all well into their senior years and unfortunately, suffering from loneliness and poverty. They simply feel that 
life has past them by. We sensed in our hearts that now was our time to serve these fathers and mothers who had suffered so much. These are the words of Malachi: “And he will turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers” (Malachi 4:6). As we considered the plight of the holocaust survivors in Israel this profound promise penetrated the hearts of our teams in Shavei Tsion and Netzer-ha-Galil congregations. As we responded to the Word of God the door of opportunity opened up for us to serve these people. An Open Door Today we see that the door to these people and to their families is open. They know who we are and they are grateful for everything we have done and they want more. We want to enter through the door that God has opened for us. We pray for the opportunity to show God’s love and mercy to these people so that the last days of their lives would be enlightened with the love of the Messiah. We believe the Holy Spirit has lead us to host 3-4 banquets a year to honor these people. I believe it is wonderful that Messianic believers can become pioneers in this ministry to the Fathers. We believe it is our duty not only to honor them with banquets but to provide ongoing help with food, physical assistance, and personal attention. Pray together with us for this project; pray that it would be led by God, that even more doors would open, and that we would express the love of Heaven through the Messiah for these dear holocaust survivors whom He has kept until this day.

Конечно, они всегда были рядом с нами, с некоторыми из них мы знакомы лично, но оказалось, что у них существуют свои организации – группы людей, которых связывают тяжелые воспоминания. Одна из таких групп – «Союз последней блокады» – объединяет людей из бывшего Ленинграда, выходцев нацистских гетто и концентрационных лагерей. Большинство из этих людей родилось в 1933-1938 гг. Они были детьми, когда соприкоснулись с ужасом Катастрофы. Сегодня многие из них близки к смерти и, к сожалению, страдают от одиночества и бедности. Они ощущают себя так, будто жизнь прошла мимо! Мы почувствовали, что наступило время оказать помощь нашим отцам и матерям, которые так много страдали. Малахия говорит: «И он обратит сердца отцов к детям, и сердца детей к отцам их» (Малахия 4:6). Это пророчество пронизало наши сердца, когда мы размышляли о состоянии, в котором находятся люди, пережившие Холокост. Он был Божьим призывом для нас. Ответив на него, мы увидели, как Бог Сам открывает перед нами двери для служения этим людям. Открытая дверь Семьи, которые мы посещаем, знают, что мы верующие в Иешуа, и тем не менее благодарят нас за все, что мы для них делаем. Но они постоянно нуждаются в помощи. Мы молимся о том, чтобы у нас было больше возможностей проявлять Божью любовь и милость по отношению к этим людям, чтобы последние дни их жизни были освещены светом Мессии. Мы верим, что Святой Дух побуждает нас устраивать три-четыре банкета в год, чтобы почтить этих людей. Это чудесно, что мессианские верующие могут стать пионерами такого труда. Наш долг заключается не только в том, чтобы выказывать им свое уважение и уделять внимание, но также обеспечивать их продуктами питания, материальной поддержкой. Молитесь вместе с нами за этот проект, молитесь, чтобы Бог руководил нами, чтобы еще больше дверей открывалось перед нами, и чтобы мы могли нести небесную любовь Мессии к этим драгоценным людям, которых Бог сохранил до сего дня.
